They got drunk one weekend and thought - "Hey! We can make a magazine!"

I bought this from a lady at a garage sale, apparently her son bought it because he thought it was a comic book... Lets just hope he didn't find the not-so-soft-core-porn in the back.

Great stuff, huh?
I will be publishing the details in a few days - internet troubles

Aussie aussie aussie

Australian Star Magazine - never heard of it before? Neither had I until I found it in a garage sale, but there's some great stuff in there.

I hope you enjoy them as  much as I do

Reflect a little

I found this magazine at a school fete last weekend and I must admit, I didn't have a cent on me after spending a fair bit of money on clothes but here it is - somehow - I'll let you figure that out for yourself.

More on topic: I'm a huge sucker for mustard yellow and I love the use of it here: big bold and wonderfully eighties - keep an eye out for some great portraits of some of our finest screen printers in the coming weeks.

More more more Math

My Boyfriend, Matt is studying his Honors in Maths this year and I seem to be finding maths books everywhere. And aside from my casual obsession with the LaTeX font, I've really fallen for the graphic style of these books. Here are a few of the covers, but I'll try and find some examples of the hierarchy system in Maths.

Welcome to blog-world

I'd like to give myself a big pat on the back for this grand entrance into the fruitful land of blogging - big ol' pat on the back.
Warnings to anyone thinking of subscribing to this, I'm pretty sure it's just a fleeting idea, so I don't really know how long I can keep it up, but here goes.

I've been looking through some old collections of magazines I have and some of them I've discovered are a mixture of good, interesting, and utterly hilarious - I dare anyone to try and find more typefaces used in any one page than that:
Page from 'Recipes from the stars'
(Seriously, if you can, email me, I want someone to top that)

So here's a collection of old advertising and layout works from the above cookbook 'Recipes from the stars'
